I remember the first time I listened to this story… I cried. I was so moved by the message, amazed at Sheryl’s talent to birth this story and absolutely grateful to know my children will have books like this to read Now I am just über excited to see Eric Summers’s work on the illustrations!! I’m such a fan of his work.

Thank you both for the hard work and inspiration!!

Where can I find a synopsis of the book?

The intrepid Daniel McDougal McDouglas McFly is a young boy who bravely steps up to save the environment and help endangered animals and plants survive against incredible odds. Parents will appreciate the positive message that the book sends to their children about the environment and preserving the precious gifts of the Earth. Written in beguiling rhyming couplet verse. Includes guide for parents & teachers. Enjoy – and thanks, Scott! – Publisher Charlotte

I’d like to support the local artists that created this.
Is it age appropriate for two 5 year olds?

“The Mystical Magical Abracadabracal Daniel McDougal McDouglas McFly” is a hilarious book about saving the environment. The main character, a boy named Daniel meets many fictional animals who ask for his help before going extinct. Daniel is very touched by this and tries his best to come to their aid. I recommend it for children from 3-7 yrs old. This book makes you think about a serious subject: the damage humans are making to the environment and the world. But, it is also very entertaining because of its fictional characters (like moongeese with jetpacks). It has great illustrations to go along with the story. At the end of the book, it shows many ways to impact the environment by planting a tree or making an art piece out of recycling materials.
