USRowing Virtual Convention 2020 Preview

US Rowing Convention 2020
Kick-Off Podcast

As part of our continued collaboration with USRowing, Ready, Row! USA connected with Samantha Wonderlin and Sarah McAulifffe, two of the event’s intrepid organizers, to discuss the first-ever USRowing Virtual Convention, Dec. 8-13, 2020.

Wonderlin and McAuliffe took us behind the scenes at the upcoming USRowing Convention – what to see, who to *virtually* connect with. We heard about keynote speakers, and previewed the restored diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), masters, and Olympic tracks.

They wrapped up with an assessment of how USRowing has changed its “mindset” and messaging for activities and events during the pandemic. Sarah and Samantha also gave us a first-hand account of how it was to pivot from the original live event and plan the first Virtual Convention.
