USRowing Convention Recap

And what a Convention it has been! As part of our continued collaboration with USRowing, Samantha Wonderlin, USR Membership Marketing Specialist, and Sarah McAulifffe, USR Senior Event Manager, to recap the first-ever 2020 Virtual Convention for Ready, Row! USA.

Wonderlin and McAuliffe take us behind the scenes at the event – the surprises and “back-channel” encounters, talks by legends & rookies, the burning questions, tech challenges & victories! They give us an assessment of how USRowing has changed its “mindset” and messaging for activities and events during the pandemic and beyond.

These intrepid virtual convention organizers give us a first-hand account of their experience in pivoting and planning the first Virtual Convention.
